Introductory XF Training Your-Site

Introductory XF Training is available on-site at your facility. Limited to 4 attendees this training class is perfect for users who would prefer to train in their own lab, on their own XF analyzer. This 2-day Introductory XF Training In-Site is designed for new XF analyzer users. Introductory XF Training courses are taught by Seahorse personnel from our training and support departments.

Comprehensive, Hands-on Training

During this 2-day course, each student will learn the importance of measuring cellular bioenergetics, how to most effectively use XF technology to measure cellular bioenergetics, and how to perform and analyze XF assays such as Optimization of Cell Density and Compounds, and Mitochondrial Function

  • Gain hands on experience with XF technology in a wet lab
  • Receive personalized attention
  • Spend two days with Seahorse Field Applications personnel
  • Each student uses their own data analysis workstation
  • Students pair up to use current model XF instruments
  • Learn how to maximize the value of each experiment
  • Form relationships and network with other scientists who study cellular bioenergetics
  • Learn about the impact of cell handling on Cell Physiology and seed your own cells while taking advantage of Seahorse's expert tissue culture technicians

Sample Agenda

The classroom portion of the course will include:

  • The history of Seahorse Bioscience
  • An overview of how to use the XF software
  • A refresher on cellular bioenergetics and biochemistry related to XF measurements
  • Proper tissue culture techniques and the impact of culture condition on cell physiology
  • How XF measurements are made

The lab portion of the course will include:

  • How to perform an XF assays from start to finish, on a current model XF instruments
  • An overview of the instrument setup and subsystems
  • A refresher on proper cell seeding technique, including seeding cells
  • How to setup an XF assay for cells and compounds optimization and mitochondrial function
  • How to generate XF data
  • Participate in a discussion session where demo data and student data will be analyzed and interpreted

Format: 2-day course at your facility.

Price: $5000 (3700€) or $3210 (2375€) after trade-in of 2 introductory training seats

Registration:

The Introductory XF Training Your-Site Course includes class materials, labs, lectures, XF protocols, and XF data analysis software. A USB drive containing wet lab data, the latest software, and electronic copies of all course presentations is provided to each student to take with them.
