Thank you for joining us in Houston for the 2012 XF Users' Meeting

We had an interesting and interactive meeting in Houston. XF users came to learn about the latest advances in XF technology and stress test kits, hear keynote talks, and attend interactive workshops. We discussed new ways to enhance the use of XF technology, showcased the new XF^e Analyzer, and presented new XF applications from a variety of bioenergetic experiments in disease areas such as cancer, obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative function and safety toxicity.

Beginning with a Welcoming Reception at the JW Marriott Hotel the evening of Monday, October 22nd, attendees were welcomed by David Ferrick Ph.D., VP Biology and Applications at Seahorse. Cocktails and delicious food made for a wonderful gathering.

The XF Users' Meeting officially started Tuesday October 23rd with a Welcoming Address by Jay Teich, CEO at Seahorse, and was followed by the Young Investigator Presentation, given by Jonathan W. Wojtkowiak, Ph.D., Postdoctoral Fellow at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, in Florida. Jonathan's presentation was titled - Therapeutically targeting the physical tumor microenvironment. Scientific and product workshops, as well as poster sessions and networking events filled the rest of the day. Day 2 opened with a keynote presentation from Erika L. Pearce, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Pathology and Immunology at the Washington University in St. Louis - School of Medicine. Erika's presentation was titled - Bioenergetics of the T cell response: understanding how metabolism dictates function.
